Black Seed Sweets


1 cup of wheat flour

1 cup of semolina

Half a cup of sugar

Less than half a cup of olive oil if desired

1 Teaspoon baking powder,

1 Teaspoon yeast (optional),

Pinch of Salt

Warm water for kneading. Add appropriate amount until dough is firm, but not dry and can be shaped

Sugar Syrup which is cool, 1 Cup Sugar, 1 to 1 1/2 Cup water, some rose water


Dry ingredients are mixed,  add the paste and olive oil (if used), and an appropriate amount of warm water is added until a cohesive paste is formed.

Separate half of the dough in a tray. Place the nuts or raisins and cover with the other half of the dough. Bake in a medium temperature oven about 180 ° C until the sides are browned or until a clean match if inserted into the dough comes out clean. Sugar Syrup :
Put one cup of sugar and one cup of water in a pan, you can add more water if you prefer it moist.. Cook until all the sugar is dissolved. Add a small teaspoon of Rose Water.
