Cold-Pressed Coriander Seed Oil

Pure coriander seed oil (Coriandrum sativum), cold-pressed in our own facility in Amman from selected seed. No heat, no solvents, no refining.

A flavouring, not a cooking oil

This is one of our registered food flavourings — used by the drop rather than the spoonful. A single drop carries the character of the whole seed, so it goes into a dish at the end rather than into the pan.

Pressed, not distilled

Coriander is usually sold as a steam-distilled essential oil — highly concentrated, and never used undiluted. Ours is cold-pressed from the whole seed, so it carries the seed's fatty acids alongside its aromatic compounds. It is naturally high in petroselinic acid, an unusual fatty acid found in few plant oils and one of the reasons coriander seed interests formulators.

What it tastes and smells like

Warm and sweet, with a citrus-spice lift — recognisably coriander, but rounder and softer than the ground spice. This is the flavour of the dried seed, not the green leaf, and the two are quite different things.

In the kitchen

One drop is usually enough. The use we come back to is the simplest:

  • Cucumber and yoghurt salad — one drop for the whole bowl. It adds a warmth and depth that mint alone doesn't give.
  • Labneh, hummus and mutabbal — a drop stirred through before serving.
  • Green salads — into a lemon and olive oil dressing.
  • Marinades for meat and chicken — added to the cold marinade.
  • Soups — a drop after the pot comes off the heat.
  • Savoury baking — into bread or pastry dough.

Start with one drop and taste before adding more. It is far stronger than you expect.

On skin

Light and quick to absorb, used in facial oils, serums and natural cosmetic formulations — usually as part of a blend rather than alone.

How it's made

Cold-pressed on German machinery without heat or chemical solvents, then filtered and bottled. Unrefined, non-GMO, hexane-free, vegan-friendly. Nothing added.

Produced in an ISO 22000 certified facility and tested by independent third parties. Halal certified. Available in retail bottles, bulk, and private label for food manufacturers.

Storage and notes

  • Use very sparingly. One drop is a sensible starting point for most dishes.
  • Store in a cool, dark place with the cap closed. The aroma carries — keep it away from other stored foods.
  • Patch-test before applying to skin.
  • Colour and aroma vary naturally between batches with the season and harvest.

How It Is Different (Cold-Pressed Coriander Seed Oil)

  • Cold-pressed from coriander seeds (no solvents): Mechanically pressed without chemical solvents or hexane, keeping the oil close to its natural, unrefined profile.
  • Naturally aromatic, distinctive character: Coriander seed oil has a characteristic warm, aromatic note; slight batch-to-batch variation is normal due to seasonal factors.
  • Unrefined, minimally processed: No heavy refining steps—careful pressing, filtration, and bottling to preserve the seed’s character.
  • Food + personal care versatility: Suitable for culinary use and also popular in personal care routines (without positioning it as a treatment).
  • Quality system + traceability: Produced with batch traceability and documentation; COA/MSDS available for B2B/wholesale upon request.
  • Multiple sizes for retail & bulk: Available in different sizes to support personal use, gifting, and wholesale/export orders.

Coriander (Coriandrum sativum) has a long history across the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and Asia as a widely traded aromatic plant. Its seeds have been used for centuries in traditional cooking, spice blends, and preserved foods, valued for their warm, distinctive aroma.
Before modern refining became common, oils from seeds and nuts were often obtained through mechanical pressing. In regions where coriander was cultivated and traded, pressing aromatic seeds into oil was one of the traditional ways to capture and preserve their natural character.
Today, cold-pressing continues that heritage by extracting oil through pressure rather than chemical solvents. Green Fields Cold-Pressed Coriander Seed Oil follows this traditional approach with a focus on purity, batch traceability, and consistent quality—while recognizing that natural variations in aroma, color, and taste can occur from batch to batch due to harvest and seasonal factors.
