Lavender Hydrosol, Exposing The Truth.. Now!
Understanding the Cheating Methods in Hydrosol Production
In the world of hydrosols, not all production methods are created equal, and some practices can significantly decrease the quality and effectiveness of the final product.
The Issue of Prolonged Boiling of Plant Inside The Water
- Loss of Therapeutic Properties: When plant materials are boiled excessively, it leads to the degradation of vital compounds. This prolonged exposure to high temperatures breaks down the delicate essential oils and active constituents in lavender, resulting in a hydrosol that lacks potency.
- Alteration of Chemical Composition: Extended boiling can alter the chemical structure of the plant’s compounds. This means that the therapeutic benefits, for which Lavender Hydrosol is sought after, are significantly reduced or altered.
How We As Green Fields Oils Ensures Purity
- Controlled Steam Distillation: We employ a controlled steam distillation process, which involves passing steam through lavender plant materials. This method ensures that only the beneficial components are extracted, maintaining the integrity of the hydrosol.
- Temperature Regulation: Our distillation process carefully monitors temperature to ensure that it is just right for extracting the essence of lime without degrading its quality.
- Shorter Exposure to Heat: By minimizing the time the plant material is exposed to heat, we preserve the natural compusition and therapeutic properties of the lavender hydrosol.
The Science Behind Quality Hydrosol Production
- Optimal Extraction of Volatile Compounds: Steam distillation is scientifically proven to be effective in extracting volatile compounds which are responsible for the aroma and therapeutic benefits of lavender.
- Preservation of Hydrophilic Components: This method also ensures the preservation of hydrophilic (water-loving) components, which are crucial for the hydrosol’s effectiveness.
- Avoidance of Thermal Degradation: By keeping temperatures within the optimal range, we prevent thermal degradation of the essential oils and active compounds in lavender.

Lavender Hydrosol, A Beautiful Relaxing Herb
Once upon a thyme, in a field far away, lavender decided to make everyone’s day a little less gray! :) <3, Lavender, with its mesmerizing purple hues and beautiful scent, has been nature's relaxant since time begon. It has been a symbol of serenity, purity, and unspoken beauty.
Distillation.. The Art
The journey of transforming lavender into a hydrosol... Steam distillation, an art perfected over centuries. This method, dating back to early Arab alchemists like Avicenna, involves passing steam through lavender buds, condensing the vapor into a fragrant hydrosol, rich in the plant's natural properties but milder than its essential oil.
Lavender in Lore and Legend
In folklore, lavender has been a plant of protection and love. Tucked into linens, it was thought to ward off evil spirits and invite sweet dreams. Lavender was more than a plant; it was a storyteller, whispering tales of ancient Greek and Roman baths, where it mingled with the waters, and of medieval love potions it secretly strengthened.
Lavender's Journey
In the Renaissance, as a prized ingredient in perfumes, and in the modern world, as a must ingredient in aromatherapy and natural skincare.
Lavender Hydrosol Today, More Than Just a Scent
Today, it finds its place in holistic wellness as a soothing skin tonic, a calming sleep spray, and a gentle remedy for everyday stress. Its multiple use in blending with other hydrosols and its compatibility with various skin types make it a favorite in natural beauty regimes.
