Cold-Pressed Apricot Kernel Oil

Pure apricot kernel oil (Prunus armeniaca), cold-pressed in our own facility in Amman from selected kernels. No heat, no solvents, no refining.

What it's like

Pale gold, almost odourless, and among the lightest carrier oils we produce. It absorbs quickly and leaves very little residue — the reason it is so widely used on the face, where heavier oils feel like a film.

It is rich in oleic and linoleic acids and naturally contains vitamin E. The balance between those two fatty acids is what gives it both cushion and lightness, an unusual combination in a plant oil.

On skin

Apricot kernel has a long-standing reputation as a gentle oil. It is a common choice for sensitive and mature skin, used around the eyes where stronger oils aren't tolerated, and included in baby-care preparations for the same reason.

Use it alone as a facial oil, after cleansing on slightly damp skin. A few drops warmed between the palms and pressed in goes further than rubbing. It also works as a light body oil and for massage.

As a carrier oil

Its near-absence of scent and colour makes it one of the better carriers for blending essential oils — it won't compete with what you add to it. Formulators use it where they want slip and absorption without weight.

Blends readily with our ready-to-use essential oils or with heavier oils to lighten them.

On hair

Light enough for fine hair that heavier oils flatten. Used on ends after washing, or massaged into the scalp before.

A note on apricot kernels

Apricot kernels themselves are sometimes sold with claims attached to a compound called amygdalin. Those claims are not supported by evidence, and we make none of them.

It is also worth knowing that amygdalin is water-soluble and remains in the pressed cake rather than passing into the oil. Cold-pressed apricot kernel oil is a cosmetic carrier oil. It is not the same product as the kernels, and it should not be confused with them.

How it's made

Cold-pressed on German machinery without heat or chemical solvents, then filtered and bottled. Unrefined, non-GMO, hexane-free, vegan-friendly. Nothing added — no fragrance, no colour, no preservatives.

Produced in an ISO 22000 certified facility and tested by independent third parties. Halal certified. Available in retail bottles, bulk, and private label — including as a carrier oil base for cosmetic manufacturers.

Storage and notes

• Contains stone fruit kernels. Avoid if you have a nut or stone-fruit allergy. Patch-test before wider use.
• Store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight.
• As with any unrefined natural oil, colour may vary slightly between batches with the season and harvest.
